Hotel Casa Bocana

Beautiful boutique hotel with a refreshingly cool saltwater pool. Our room was very comfortable and well air conditioned. Beds were excellent and the balcony features a comfy hammock for a lazy day of reading. The small fridge is handy although we would have liked a coffee machine or kettle. Wifi is strong and reliable. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Be prepared to be woken up rather early by local dogs, roosters and the incredible number of wild birds that call this little valley home. We found it charming and it was nice to get up early and walk the deserted beach before the heat of the day. The hotel restaurant is superb - probably the best we have eaten at in the Huatulco area. Breakfast and dinner there was excallent. But there are also two little beach bars nearby that serve excellent seafood at more modest prices. (The fish burger at Los Gueros is amazing!) Also a very beautiful cocktail bar on the roof of the hotel where you can watch the moon rise over the Pacific. La Bocana is about 15 - 20 mins taxi ride from La Crucecita (the main local town) and costs about $150 (pesos). We loved our stay there (February 2025) and can't wait to go back.

Casa Bocana is not a resort, it is a retreat. The rooms are an oasis. Beautifully decorated to calm and sooth a weary traveler, they are like a deep, calming breath. I did see a review that the service was slow. No. This is not McDonald's. The service allows you space to enjoy the delicious food, but is attentive and thoughtful. The staff are helpful, observant, and friendly. This is not a place for hurry, and the quality and flavors deserve time and attention. There is nothing I would change from our stay other than making it longer.

Loved my experience at this hotel!! Stayed here for two nights Dec 2025 and throughly enjoyed my time here :) the restaurant is amazing , and the space itself is so well designed and very peaceful and zen :) I wish I had stayed here longer and would def return and recommend to others visiting the area! Such a nice peaceful spot and the staff were so helpful :) I loved it so much I even cancelled the other hotel I was meant to stay at and rebooked here for my last night in huatulco! Would def recommend when you are in the area :)

Super well designed hotel with beautiful spacious rooms, rooftop, and common areas. Friendly staff and great food. The restaurant is definitely pricier than most local spots, but also higher quality so can't complain. Town is sleepy but looks to be changing fast. Enjoy the sunrises at this chill beach spot while it lasts.

First and foremost, the staff at the Hotel are WONDERFUL and very helpful. I am grateful to Luis, Melina, and Yess who work at the Front Desk. The waiters, especially Luis, provided excellent service and were very attentive. The cleaning women did a great job keeping my room spotless. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food...some meals were good, some were not so good and the pricing for all meals was pretty steep. Not being near too many other options for meals, I primarily ate at the Hotel. Also, the restaurant is outdoors and attracts flies (which I understand is a part of nature). I would like to see some sort of effort to keep flies at bay (example: hang fly strips or install an electric bug zapper machine). One last thing to mention, the drinks I ordered barely had alcohol in them. I got smart and switched to wine the next night, and was way more satisfied with the quality.

My family and I had an unforgettable stay at Casa Bocana in Huatulco. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel truly special. The young lady at the front desk welcomed us with such kindness and warmth that we instantly felt at home. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make her feel celebrated and cared for — it meant so much to all of us. Stefano, who I believe is the manager, provided outstanding customer service and personally made sure everything during our stay was perfect and top-notch. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stood out. I completely fell in love with Huatulco — it’s magical. I’m already dreaming of coming back and even buying a place there one day! Until that happens, Casa Bocana will definitely be my home away from home. I will happily recommend this hotel to all my friends and family both in Mexico and in the United States. Thank you to everyone at Casa Bocana for such a beautiful experience. It was truly a blessing to visit my country and discover a place I had never been before. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful boho chic boutique hotel. Staff are the highlight… friendly and great service. Shout out to Alberto and Melina for going above and beyond. The restaurant is cozy with amazing g food - best in all of Huatulco. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Location is great… off the main drag but a short stroll to the most beautiful beach in Huatulco (vast, no crowds, great for swimming, fishing, boogie boarding and surfing…. and to watch the sunrise). Our 5 night stay at Casa Bocana was 5 stars! Highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting a beachy vacay in a quaint surf vibe town or to visit the restaurant and bar for delicious fresh and healthy food and craft cocktails. The coffee is awesome!
